Rogue Earth LLC is a small indie studio working on our first indie game: Eterium.

Eterium is a space flight sim in the spirit of 90′s games like Wing Commander and X-Wing. Developed by a three-man team, Eterium aims to bring the classic style of space combat games into the modern era. You play as a pilot serving aboard United Earth Alliance carrier Canopus during a war against a vicious alien race known as the Revi. Experience story-driven gameplay, advanced artificial intelligence, procedural missions and intense 3D space combat as you battle your way through over 50 missions of action-packed gameplay.

Andrew Luby
Lead Programmer / Designer

In his spare time, Andrew is the lead programmer/producer and founder of Rogue Earth. Professionally, he is the Principle Gameplay Engineer at OOOii, a creative technology company that revolutionizes interactive technologies and micro-gaming experiences for feature films and advertising.  A long-time space sim fan of games like Wing Commander and X-Wing, Andrew realized from an early age that he wanted to work in video game development.  After graduating from college, he joined Electronic Arts where he worked on the best-selling titles The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth II and Command and Conquer 3.  After Electronic Arts, Andrew became a lead gameplay programmer at Point of View.  During his time at Point of View, he used his free time to start development on a space sim game that would eventually evolve into Eterium.  Andrew holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of California Riverside.

David Schoneveld
Lead Artist

David Schoneveld is a lead artist at OOOii, creating immersive experiences across a multitude of platforms including interactive games and feature films. He has been in the visual effects industry for over eight years and has worked on over 24 feature films at many of the top studios and effects houses including Dreamworks Animation (KUNG FU PANDA, MONSTERS VS.ALIENS), ILM  (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLDS END), Digital Domain (REAL STEEL), Hydraulux (2012), and Asylum (TRANSFORMERS).  An avid gamer,  this transition to OOOii has given David the opportunity to keep working on films, but also delve into real time interactive environments.  In addition, Schoneveld frequently teaches Particle and Fluid Dynamics at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA.  In conjunction with The Gnomon Workshop, he produced three DVDs in 2007 on learning Maya Fluid Dynamics.  At the time, the series was the only training DVD that taught Fluid Dynamics from introduction to production and became industry standard for learning Fluid Dynamics. David is a member of the Visual Effects Society and holds a BA in Integrated Art from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Animation from Ex’pressions Center for New Media.

Eric Duhon
Graphics Programmer

Eric is a long time gamer, having grown up playing games from the Ultima series and SSI’s rpgs. When X-wing was released Eric found one of his favorite game series, and still plays games from this series today. Eric started his career in the United States Air Force. Then he attended the University of Houston, earning a degree in Computer Science. After graduating, Eric spent several years writing business software. During this time he also opened up a small indie studio named HPT Interactive. They developed the HTP Game Pack and Blade of Betrayal for the PocketPC platform. Later, Eric finally entered the games industry full time when he was hired as a Senior Software Engineer at Timegate Studios. There he worked on FEAR: Perseus Mandate, Section 8, Section 8 Prejudice and Tron Evolution. Eric was primarily responsible for the PS3 versions of Section 8, and worked on the stereoscopic 3D feature for the PS3 version of Tron. Eric also opened another indie studio Conjured Realms. Blade of Betrayal was re-released as an iPhone, Android, Blackberry 10, and Bada game. Conjured Realms also did the iPhone versions of Bumble Tales for Tandem Games and Headstone Harry for Perfect Dork Studios. Eric currently works at OOOii on various software projects.
